Thanksgiving Service: This Sunday! at 3pm!

If you are bringing hot food, please come at 2:30 and drop off the items to Erik "the Big Chef" who will be managing the kitchen for the evening! Any help with set up (1pm-3) and tear down (after 7pm) would be appreciated.

Christmas Gifts: Heather Eccles is heading up a collection of Christmas gifts for a local diagnostic orphanage here in Bratislava. If you would like sponsor a child and donate gifts please do. The deadline is next Sunday, Dec. 6th. You can drop the gifts off at the church. Additional info can be found on the enclosed attachment.

Sunday School Meeting:A big thank you to all who were involved in serving the kids this last month! We would like to get all the teachers together at the end of this month or beginning of Dec. to evaluate together how it went and how we can improve and push forward into the next teaching cycle. My idea is to get everyone together for coffee and have some childcare provided. I propose meeting on December 12th. Any other suggestions? Prayer Requests:
Aki: co-worker Denisa whose husband passed away. Pray for the family and also their salvation.

Jozef: strength to live holy for Jesus and shine His light here in Bratislava.

Erik: More Slovaks to be saved, move to new flat, health insurance

Ben: Healing & health for his Mom & step-Dad.

Higgins: restored health for little David, good teaching session at VBH conference

Thanksgiving service: That our thankful response to Jesus will be a light to those who come and don't know Him yet!

CityLight: that many Slovaks would be brought to Jesus and we at CityLight would be able to be able to bless and build them up in the Lord! Pray that we as a church would have this heart and God given opportunities to do so.

CityLight Nov. 15th

Dear CityLight family,

In the words of Hebrews LET US not be "those who shrink back and are destroyed, but those who believe and are saved"! Do you need to be rescued this week? or know someone else who does? Then LET US ask the Father in belief that He will respond and save those who call upon His name.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked for." 1 John 5:14-15

Prayer - a practical and effective way to love one another as a faith community. Here is a list of requests & praises:

1. Melo family - God's blessing and fruitfulness in their ministry; God's favor with those they work with.

2. Aki - colleague, whose name is Denisa K.Her husband has cancer and probably he will not live so long. Their salvation, peace, and hope.

3. Higgins - protection against spiritual attacks, strengthen our marriage & family, wisdom how to raise our boys, wisdom how to lead at CityLight, God's provision in all areas.

4. CityLight: that many Slovaks would be brought to Jesus and we at CityLight would be able to be able to bless and build them up in the Lord! Pray that we as a church would have this heart and God given opportunities to do so.

5. Tom+Debbie - God's favor on them as they reach out via GoodSports in DNV. Pray for strength, creativity, open doors, translators and support staff, financial provision, and touched lives!

6. 20yrs. of Communist free Slovakia! Pray that Christians here in Slovakia would use their freedom for His glory!

7. Kieko- pregnancy and health

8. All parents - how to raise our crazy kids up in the Lord!

9. Vic+Darla - strength & improved health, blessing during their ESI conference

10. Upcoming events: Thanksgiving (29th) & Men’s Breakfast (21st)

11. Heather: God’s anointing s she reaches out to the youth of BA. Praise: God did good things on the last outreach "party"!

12. Sano family - God's wisdom, guidence and provision as they anticipate their potential retun to Japan next year.

13. Aylwin - God to bless him while in Slovakia, and protection and blessings on his family in Malaysia and their quick return to Bratislava.

14. Gina - God to guide her in her life + service here in Slovakia. To give His peace. For her to hear Him clearly.

15. Ben - Improvd health for his mom, "Frankie", as she suffers from unexplained blood loss.

16. Erik - God's solution to Slovak buracracy...specifically his health insurance policy.

Dear CityLight family,

What can we say other then that we serve a very good God! I hope that you all can move forward into your week with that reality in mind. To walk forward in this life with full acceptance from our Good Father.

On Sunday we read, “...Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Heb. 10:24) Part of that takes consideration, which for us should involve praying for one another. I would like to encourage you in that this week.

Here are some prayer points:

1. Kieko- pregnancy and health

2. Alberto - healing and strength

3. All parents - how to raise our crazy kids up in the Lord!

4. Darla - strength & improved health

5. Upcoming events: Thanksgiving, Men’s Breakfast, Youth Outreach Party

6. That CityLight church would grow in impacting the unsaved here in BA
