Sometimes plans don’t always turn out, but take an unexpected detour. We went up to Zobor hill to make a notable, but failed attempt at roasting up some marshmallows and trying our hand at Somores (sp?). Basically, it had rained earlier and despite the tenacity of our family pyromaniacs (Ivetka & Gabie), the fire was a no go. So, we hiked down the hill, jumped in the car and headed back home. Once we hit the city we heard a lot of loud music and people wearing Hawaiian flower-necklaces....strange for Central Europe. So, we decided to check it out.
It turned out to be a kind of promotional street techno-party for a local liquor. Despite the motivation for the party, it was kind of cool in its own way. They had this huge trampoline/bungee-cord combo. Gabie took it on and was flying high and doing flips. It was crazy, but he loved it! The boys got their hair sprayed orange and were grooving with the best of them on the square. So, it wasn’t the peaceful afternoon out we planned, but ...well, it worked out.
